Happy Fall Y'all

We went to the pumpkin patch here in Mississippi. It was such a fun time. The pictures under this post are of that day.

Robin and the new little one...coming at the end of March

Joe and the kids

Follow the leader

Scott at the pumpkin patch with the chosen pumpkin. We had such a fun time finding the perfect one.

Where did time go???

I turned 18 weeks this Sunday. How did eleven weeks pass so quickly? I am so ready for things to slow down a little. I want to be able to step back and enjoy feeling this little one grow.

Before the month of November ends we will have a 6 year old. I remember the day he was born. Then in December I will be 30. WOW how did that happen.
Next of course will be January and Kenzie will be 8!!!!!
The in Febuary Joel and I will be married for 12 years.
March will be this little beans arrival.
So many wonderful things and so little time to mentally prepare for all the changes life is bringing our way.

I promise to get some batteries this week and update some pictures on here. I have some great ones of the pumpkin patch, soccer, me ( belly ) and last but definatly not least Joel getting inducted...

Baby is kicking...

I have been feeling the baby for awhile..but last night at 10:31 Joel felt the baby move for the first time. This baby is getting more and more real each day...Pretty soon we will be holding this little one in our arms..

WAY TO GO!!!

Joel will be inducted to the honor society on campus. What a amazing guy that I am married to! You go honey. Wish that I could be there to cheer you on. I am so proud!

WOW!!!

I have some exciting news for you all...Miss Mackenzie Jones made principals list. That is all A's. What a great accomplishment. We are so proud of her.
Scott Jones made the most improved in the class and all S's. He also is the only kid that has stayed on green the entire time. Way to go Scotty!
Kealey did great as well. She got 4 A's and 3 B's which is really good for her first semester in middle school. She is moving out of band and on to another class. She is doing so great getting used to middle school.
So yeah I am a proud mommy to my awesome three kids.

16 weeks!!! ( and other Jones info)

So far so good. I am getting more used to bed rest. Although I am sure the doctor meant that I could do a few things...like cook, and laundry. I have my recheck on Tuesday to make sure the stitches are doing good.
Joel is busy busy busy he has school, work, getting the kids, house cleaning and shopping that he is in charge of...So if you see him with a blank look cut the man some slack.
Kenzie is feeling much better ( she was in the hospital) We are expecting some tonsils to come out soon.
Everyone else is doing good. Just the same old stuff that normally happens around here.

Home from the hospital

We are home finally. Let's see if I can give a quick update on things.

Thursday: Joe turned 31...and it was a insane day. Kenzie was sick and we had to take her to the doctor. The doctor decided to admit her to the hospital. Which was crazy for us. Joe took a sick day and took care of her while I tried to get ready to go into the hospital myself.

Friday: I went to the hospital at 6:00 for my cerclage. We were visited there by our pastor till 9:00..which was a long wait. The did a spinal that was a joke since I could still feel my legs. I could tell most of things that were going on and had quite a few contractions with it. Within 20 minutes I was out of surgery and into the recovery room. Joe had no clue where we were and what was happening so he was really worried. Then off to the room to finally get my glasses and to be able to be with Joel. It went well although I did end up getting some pain meds ( had no clue that they would give me demerol) Kenzie was released and got to visit.
It all went well and we were released later on Saturday. The kids went home with Joel's parents for the weekend, so its very quiet here.

Friday

Well Friday is the day for the cerclage
.http://www.americanpregnancy.org/pregnancycomplications/cervicalcerclage.html ( Has a lot of information for those of you that have no clue what it is) I am really getting nervous about it but believe that this could help me to carry this baby to term. Those of you that know me really well realize that I am totally againest all the medical stuff...so that is a huge change for me. I guess its hard to get used to the fact that the doctors actually care about you and want to do things preventive...unlike base doctors.
So anyway I will update you all on times and the like. Please pray for Joel and I during this!

12 weeks...and all is well..

Today Joe and I got to see the new little one. Its already the cutest baby in the world. It was kicking and moving its little arms and moving its mouth. We also got to hear the heartbeat. What a terrific appointment. We also got three ultrasound pics at the appointment so when I get batteries for the camera I will upload them.
My surgery is scheduled for Oct 5th, the day after Joel's 31st birthday. I am getting nervous about it but I know that if it keeps this little one safe, then whatever the cost it is worth it.

Still Alive....

Well, We are still alive here in Mississippi. I have been meaning to check in and write some but the days go so quick. They usually are starting with me throwing up and then closely followed by a nap and then on to lunch and then time to get the kids. So here is the news for us Jones'
  • Joel is doing good. Just got back from Knoxville for a training day. He didn't get the full time job this time. Although there will be others and we are praying for one. He is also back enrolled in full time college and still working full time. So needless to say he is busy.
  • Robin is 11 weeks pregnant today. Seems like time is flying by and the cravings have started. I am taking a easy art class this semester but other than that just hanging around the house. I am getting a surgery called a cerclage at about 14 weeks which is supposed to "sew" my cervix shut and prevent me from going into premature labor. I will end up spending the night at the hospital and then a couple of weeks on bed rest. Although if it gets us a healthy baby it will be worth every bit of it.
  • Kealey is getting so grown. She has braces now, and is in MIDDLE SCHOOL!!! How did that happen? She is playing trumpet in the band, and so far getting almost all A's.
  • Kenzie is in the 2nd grade this year and loving it. She is doing great in school and the PE teacher says that she is the best little student that she has. She spends a lot of time with her best friend that lives down the road, there are days that we have to call and get her sent home. Kenzie is such a great helper and trys harder than anyone you have ever met. The BIG news is all 100's on the progress report.
  • Scott my baby...Is in Kindergarten. Its hard guys to even say that. He is such a little sweetie. His teacher says that he is the back bone of the class. That he can make everyone smile. He is also playing soccer with the youth soccer organization here in town.

I promise once this morning sickness ends to update you with pictures of the kids. Take care you all and know that you are in my thoughts and prayers.

Kindergarten

Can you all believe that my little man is going to be in kindergarten next year??? Here is his first picture and one of last weekend... Forgive me from saying this but I really dread him attending school...that is where the mean kids are. They are the ones that make fun of you for your clothes, hair, accent etc. He has never spent time around people like that, he believes that all people are great and love him...Please please please let him be in a class with some great kids.

Its peaceful somewhere....

All I need is about a day here with no kids, no tv, no books NOTHING but a bathing suit and a lawn chair. I would just sit and enjoy the peace I promise.
Life here is so busy! Kealey and Kenzie are both in drama camp all the kids are in VBS at night...Scott and I have been on the run all day getting last minute school supplies and registration done. Its just been unreal...not to mention that my final in my class is July 25th..Yikes...the days are creeping up on me. So if this is not updated till after then...please know that I am going to update with new pictures soon. Hopefully I will get some of the drama camp production by the end of the month on here.
Lots of love!!!
Robin
P.S. Please remember to pray for Joel with the job interview and also for the Henderson family in Richton, MS they lost there house due to fire this last weekend...

You've meet Scuba Steve and Joe...now meet Scott

As you can see that this is a older picture...But he is so super cute in it. This is after Hurricane Katrina when we came to Meridian to be with Joel...We had taken Scott to the hotel pool and he had to wear the whole outfit...

Geez...

Can anyone tell me how to get her to stop growing up so quick!!! Kenzie will be in 2nd grade and is 7 years old...Where did time go?

Life as a parent...

Ever noticed that you never get to have anything to yourself anymore...Kids always think that yours is better.

Sisters....

As a only child I never had this kind of relationship and the love/hate thing is beyond me. Will there ever be a time when they LOVE each other??? Today is the "That's not fair, you get to do everything" fight. Which means Kealey being almost 11 gets to go somewhere and Kenzie being almost 8 thinks that "its not fair" and wants to tag along. How do you explaine that its not fair but its life...Joe gets to go everwhere and yes there are times when (oh like he went to HAWAII) and I said...THAT'S NOT FAIR! But heck its Hawaii and not a swimming party. I guess that at 8 they may seem the same. So maybe I just anwsered my own question they may never see eye to eye but I have a picture of them getting along for a brief second in time.

This is my family...

well this is finally a picture that shows what my kids are really like and who they get it from...Joel is the ringleader and the girls follow his lead...They are nuts but I love them anyway.

Finally a picture of Joe and I together....

Yup that is me...

Don't everyone freak out at once...Yes, this is a picture of me. I know that I don't usually do this but hey here I am...Lets get something straight I was showing Kealey how to pose and that is why I look nuts. But hey all in all its pretty good...

You've met Scuba Steve...now meet Scuba Joel...

Joel has recently ( in the past 2 years) developed a interest in Scuba diving. Life in the guard is so hard...he has to go to Guam every year. When he is there this is his favorite past time. Poor guy!

Easter Picture

Here is one of the kids all dressed up. They sure do clean up well don't they.

I am the cutest kid in the world..seriously

We went out to eat after church a couple of sundays go and I got this picture of Scott. He still wants to be a preacher, barber, police and a soccer player when he grows up...We are getting ready for kindergarten here and trying to get school uniforms and supplies ready...Look out world here comes my little man.

Been on the fence lately...

I have been having a really hard time trying to decide what to major in. I really want to do nursing, but its so hard to get into. What would be my back up if I didn't get in? Hotel and Restaurant management. I think that I would love this option. Its just hard to decide between the two. They are totally different things its like deciding between being a nun and a stripper.
Nursing would take so much time to finish and when I was done with it the time I would spend working would be a whole lot..although the benefits would be great. The other hand there is the management degree which could be used for almost anything. I live in a HUGE town and there is literally a hotel about every block on the north side of town and we are constantly getting more. I also LOVE to cook. I would love to own my on restaurant one day... What in the world should I chose. I feel like that Robert Frost poem about the roads that he would have to chose and which one he should no matter what if he chose one he would still miss out on the things on the other roads. That is defiantly how I feel.
Yesterday someone asked me a question if money was no object what would I want to be when I grew up...and I would want to own a bed and breakfast or a really popular cafe. But since money is a consideration and I do have 3 great kids...then I think that I will take some pre regs that fit both and give it another couple of months to try and figure out...I will let you all know what I decide

Kealey

Ssshhhh don't tell Kealey that this one is on here...She hates it and thinks that her cheeks look fat!

Kenzie

My almost 2nd grader

This is what summer is all about!

Eating snow cones!! Scott had the biggest blast at the girls field day. He had about 10 snow cones at it. If you look close you can see the blue all over his face!

Kealey and Kenzie

Well its offical...after seeing this picture Joel is going to be getting a shotgun to keep the boys away.

Happy 4th!

Well today started off on the wrong foot with us getting up to late to go home for the holiday...so instead of having Fried Chicken at Aunt Cathy's and swimming we spent it at the watching Transformers. Honestly it was a great day. I think that any day spent with the 5 of us is pretty great.
-By the way the photo is of Scott at the coast in 2005. I loved it then and recently was taught how to add color to b&w pictures so I thought I would add this one in.
